Now that the “Global IT Outage” is largely behind us, we will take some time to discuss it and what we, as a Mining and Metals industry, can learn from it going forward. We’ll bring in the real experiences of members and others who have dealt with this incident and what we need to do to be better prepared for the next time something like this occurs.
As IT and OT technology continues to rapidly converge, many information security teams are struggling with a need to begin to secure OT assets. While OT assets traditionally not “belong” to IT teams, they are becoming increasingly targeted, impacted by ransomware or other incidents.
