MM-ISAC Annual Awards and Board Appointments

MM-ISAC Annual Awards and Board Appointments

Every year, MM-ISAC recognizes member companies and individuals who go above and beyond to support its mission to improve cyber resilience in the mining industry.  The Board of Directors grants the awards on the advice of the MM-ISAC staff.

Member of the Year: The member of the year award is presented to a MM-ISAC member company that demonstrates an organization-wide commitment to furthering the objectives of MM-ISAC.  This may be through organizational leadership in working groups, threat intelligence sharing, or thought leadership that goes beyond the contribution of a single individual or team.

This year, the recipient of the MM-ISAC Member of the Year is Nutrien.  Nutrien has consistently demonstrated an organization-wide commitment to not only timely sharing of technical intelligence with the community, but also to discussing the contributing factors and suggesting solutions that go beyond the technical, enabling members to improve operational,  HR, legal, and other processes to enhance overall cyber resilience.

Contributor of the Year:  The Contributor of the Year is awarded to an individual who consistently demonstrates leadership in helping MM-ISAC meet objectives.  This could be through leadership of working groups, providing intelligence and analysis that consistently exceed members' expectations, or any other work that materially improves resilience in the industry.

This year, the recipient of the MM-ISAC Contributor of the Year award is Eric Andresen, from SSAB.  Throughout 2025, Eric worked tirelessly to identify and communicate incidents affecting the metals industry, particularly in steel.  The data collected by Eric helped MM-ISAC not only track incidents in that sub-sector of the industry but also identify blind spots in MM-ISAC's data, enabling us to work with our partners to improve tracking of the metals segment.

Congratulations to Nutrien and Eric on your awards.  We look forward to working with all of our members in 2026 as we continue our mission to protect the start of the global supply chain.

In addition to awards,  the MM-ISAC also nominates and appoints board members during our AGM.  MM-ISAC board members serve 2-year terms and may be reappointed.

Congratulations to the members of the MM-ISAC 2026 Board of Directors:
